This year, students in Mrs. Snyder’s U. S. History class were given the opportunity to interview a panel of veterans about their experiences in the military. During the panel, the three veterans in our class gave unique answers to the questions based on their experiences with different branches such as the United States Marines and the United States Air Force. One of the veterans played a part in Desert Storm and told us about his unique experiences in the Middle East such as eating ostrich eggs and even camels. His family had a long history of being in the military, and after high school, his father called a recruiter from the Air Force to interview him. Throughout his time in the military, he always kept his faith in God, carrying a small Bible with him at all times. After the military, he became a pastor and has been doing so for fourteen years. Overall, it was a great experience learning about our country’s veterans who have done so much for our country.
