Kaleb Seymour is one of the many Academy students who participated in a mission trip this summer, and after briefly speaking in chapel, he was grateful for the opportunity to give the Triangle a fuller account of his trip. A college student from Canada encouraged members of Kaleb’s church to go with him to the Maritimes region to minister to the local people there at churches and rallies. Their trip included playing music for churches in need, going door-to-door to share the Gospel, and hosting teen rallies. The teen rallies provided local teens with food and entertainment, giving Kaleb’s group an opportunity to introduce them to the Gospel. At their leader’s local church they helped prepare the building for vacation Bible school, and Kaleb even made balloon animals for the kids. He also recalled a humorous moment while doing demolition work when he removed an old window by means of a trusty hammer throw before replacing it with a new one.
At the end of their trip, the sponsor encouraged the group to continue ministering in their local community and to be active in sharing God’s Word. Kaleb says that Deuteronomy 30:19 was an important verse for him during this trip: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”
