As I’m sure all of you know, school is exhausting. The constant use of our brains and even being with people all day tends to use up any energy we have left over from the day before. For those students working jobs or participating in sports after school, it’s a whole different level of hard.
Our school theme for the year is excellence, and being excellent while being exhausted isn’t an easy thing. Thankfully, we have a gracious God who promises to give us strength if we run to Him. Isaiah 40:29-31 says, “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” God is a strong tower for us to run to amid the chaos of life. When the overwhelming piles of homework and the stresses of sports practices, friendships, music lessons, relationships, home life, and anything else that adds its sound to the music of life come crashing down all at once, we must remember our God. He tells us we should cast all of our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. At all times, we have a gracious, caring Father who is ready to give us the strength we need to make it through this busy season of life and to be excellent for His glory.
