This past June, I attended a bouquet-making party for the senior girls hosted by Karis Crockett. We each brought flowers to share and spent the afternoon at her house enjoying refreshments and assembling our own custom bouquet arrangements. The atmosphere sparkled with energy while we reminisced over our past experiences through grade school and discussed our future plans. After our creations were finished, we lined up for a few group photos in a number of heartwarming and humorous poses, including “Bridal Party,” “Aiming a Rifle,” and “The Way Guys Show Off Fish They Catch.” Conversations continued late into the evening as we bonded over our new-found title of senior. Driving home with a fresh bundle of fragrant florals, I found myself encouraged by the fellowship, more connected to my class, and excited to begin the school year. All in all, the occasion was a wonderful blessing to me and, no doubt, to all of the attendees.
