This week Chuck Nicholas received his 11th Distinguished Service Award from the National Speech and Debate Association. This award is earned by service to other schools in the speech and debate tournament world.
Saturday the team competed against 33 schools from 9 states at Myers Park HS in Charlotte, NC. After 4 rounds of competition and finals in most events, the BJA Speech and Debate Team was the FIRST PLACE team in the speech division (we did not compete in debate due to the senior trip).
