On October 19, BJA’s three robotics teams participated in the VEX season opener held at JL Mann High School. All three teams advanced to the round of 16, with Team 65162A, Tera-Byte, ranked 5th and Team 65162C, Antares, ranked 1st. Antares progressed to the championship round and additionally won the much sought after Excellence Award for the tournament. This is a remarkable accomplishment, as it is the club’s first Excellence Award, the highest honor given at a VEX Robotics tournament. The competition showcased the preparation and hard work of the Bob Jones Academy teams across multiple levels. Overall, the event was a successful start to the season.
